Handwriting - Affirmations

On the bottom of each affirmation sentence, the total number of letters, words, and spaces within the worksheet is identified to assist with data collection if copied exactly like the example.

Why I use it: For students who struggle with handwriting, practicing the skill can be daunting which is why as occupational therapists we do different and fun activities to work on the skills for handwriting and don’t always “do handwriting.” However, when I do need to take data on a student, I use one of these affirmation sentences because I love the idea encouraging positive self worth during a handwriting task.
