Cutting - Lines & Simple Shapes

$9.98

What’s Included: 26 page PDF focused on cutting straight lines and shapes. Practice cutting different length straight lines to create a lion, spider, or sun (so fun! and even effective for teletherapy). Once straight lines are mastered, practice cutting simple shapes (square, circle, triangle, diamond, star, and heart) using 1/2” thickness, 1/4” thickness, and 1/8” thickness variations in two different sizes (either 2” or 4”).

Why I use it: Arts and crafts are an essential part of the school day so ensuring my students are all able to cut is important! Some days I have the students practice cutting multiple shapes and some days we use the shapes to create things (e.g. snowman, robot, etc.). Cutting is a complex task and if a child struggles with this activity there are likely some underlying developmental skills missing. So, I use cutting as a functional activity to address a multitude of skill development.
